Why Tandemly

Built Around Your Family's Pace

We're not here to push an outcome. We're here to make the path a little clearer.

No Sides Taken

Facilitators remain neutral throughout every session. Everyone's perspective is heard with equal care.

Your Timeline

Sessions progress at the speed families are comfortable with. There is no pressure to conclude quickly.

Confidential Process

What is shared in sessions stays within the process. Discretion is a foundational part of how we work.

Education-Led

Workshops focus on building skills families keep using long after the sessions end — not just immediate problem-solving.

Clear Written Records

Decisions made together are captured in plain language — so nothing gets lost or misremembered later.

Family-Centred Design

Every programme element was shaped to reflect how real families talk, disagree, and ultimately move forward together.

Common Questions

Things Families Often Ask

What exactly is a facilitation session? +

A facilitation session is a structured conversation guided by a neutral third party. The facilitator doesn't make decisions for you — they create the conditions for everyone to be heard and for the family to reach its own conclusions in its own time.

Do all family members need to attend? +

Participation is always voluntary. We encourage the people most directly involved to be present, but no one is required to attend. We can also work with smaller groups before bringing others in, if that feels more comfortable.

How many sessions will we need? +

That varies widely. Some families find two or three sessions enough to reach a point they're satisfied with. Others prefer a slower pace spread over several weeks. We'll discuss this openly with you from the beginning, and you can stop at any point.

Are the workshops suitable for children? +

Our cooperative skills workshops are designed for adults or young adults aged 16 and above. We can discuss how to involve younger children appropriately, though they would not take part in the workshops directly.

What language are sessions conducted in? +

We work primarily in English. Sessions with mixed-language families can often be accommodated — please get in touch to discuss your situation and we'll do our best to find a workable arrangement.

What does the documentation service produce? +

It produces a clear written summary of the steps and decisions your family agreed upon during the process. It is not a legal contract — it is a practical reference document for your own household records, written in plain language and reviewed by all participants before it is finalised.

Is what we share kept private? +

Confidentiality is central to how Tandemly works. Information shared in sessions is not passed on to outside parties. We'll explain our specific approach clearly during your initial conversation.
